Shipping & Return Policy

At Sugar n’ Proof we bake fresh, ship quickly, and do our best to get your treats to you in perfect condition. Because our products are perishable, this policy is a little different from typical retail.


1) Order Processing

  1. Processing time. Orders are typically processed within 4–7 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays). During peak seasons and promotions, processing may take longer.
  2. Order confirmation & tracking. You’ll receive an email confirmation after checkout and another email with tracking once your order ships.
  3. Fraud prevention. We may hold or cancel orders flagged by our payment processor or fraud-prevention systems.

2) Shipping Options & Delivery

  1. Methods & costs. We offer standard and (when available) expedited options shown at checkout. Rates and estimated transit times are carrier-provided and not guaranteed.
  2. Where we ship. We currently ship within the United States only. We do not offer international shipping.
  3. Heat-sensitive items. Some products can melt in warm weather. Consider expedited shipping—and place orders to addresses where packages won’t sit outside. Once a package is in transit, we are not responsible for melting or weather-related outcomes.
  4. Carrier handoff = risk transfer. Title and risk of loss transfer to you when we tender the shipment to the carrier. We’ll reasonably assist with carrier claims, but final outcomes are at the carrier’s discretion.
  5. Delivery windows. Carriers may experience delays (weather, high volume, operational issues). We cannot guarantee arrival on a specific date.

3) Address Accuracy & Changes

  1. Your responsibility. Please provide a complete, deliverable shipping address at checkout (including apartment/suite numbers).
  2. Undeliverable or incorrect addresses. We are not responsible for delays, lost packages, or additional shipping charges due to incomplete or incorrect addresses entered by the customer. If an order is returned to us, we can reship it if the product remains safe/usable; additional shipping charges will apply.
  3. Address changes. Once an order moves into processing/fulfillment, we usually cannot change the address.

4) Returns, Refunds & Replacements (Perishable Items)

Because our products are made-to-order and perishable, all sales are generally final. However, if something goes wrong, we want to make it right.

  1. Wrong or damaged items (time-sensitive). If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email admin@sugarnproof.com within 24 hours of delivery with:
    • Your order number
    • Photos of the outer box, shipping label, interior packaging, and the damaged/incorrect item
      Please keep all packaging until we advise next steps.
  2. Resolutions. Where appropriate, we may offer a replacement, store credit, or refund (at our discretion). We typically do not require returns of perishable goods.
  3. Not covered. We do not refund/replace for:
    • Taste preferences or minor cosmetic variation (handmade products vary slightly)
    • Melting or quality changes due to carrier delay, warm weather, or the package sitting outside after delivery
    • Incorrect or incomplete addresses entered at checkout
    • Failure to retrieve a package after a delivery attempt
  4. Return window ineligible. The general e-commerce concept of “returns within X days” does not apply to food. Returned food cannot be restocked or resold for safety reasons.

5) Cancellations

  1. Grace period. You may cancel within 3 hours of placing your order provided it has not entered production or shipping.
  2. After production/shipment. Once an order is being baked, packed, or has shipped, it cannot be canceled.

6) Pickup / Local Delivery (if shown at checkout)

If you choose pickup or local delivery, please collect within the stated window. For food-safety reasons, uncollected orders may be discarded without refund.
